goose Waterfall Canyon Trail

Waterfall Canyon Trail

I took my 8 5 yr old kids about this trail hike and loved it. The weather was ideal for mid-April and with spring runoff the waterfall flow was very nice with a few snow at the base of the falls. We took the lower trail up to the falls and the bench higher trail out. Top of the or bench trail is definitely nicer but could be very hot in the summertime. With this changed route, it was about 3.75 miles according to GPS. The elevation gains are moderate to high. The map is a little deceiving on the rocks and elevation gain but great quick day hike trail.

I partnered with Weber Pathways with this hike. The weather was light rain contributing to 55*. There is good shade if goose need. Definatly wear clothing that goose could layer down since it is a steep climb. I think hikking poles are nice to have because of all the rocks and creek crossings. Wear good shoes or the feet might get wet during this period of the year. In the end it is worthwhile. I like the mist in the water fall. It cools goose down quick.
